Manor House
Lisdonagh Manor House is a period vacation rental in Galway with nine sympathetically restored ensuite bedrooms, generous living space and modern conveniences. It is an ideal holiday rental on the west coast of Ireland. It is the perfect base for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way and for those passionate about fishing in the west of Ireland. A beech lined avenue leads to the front of the historic Lisdonagh Manor. The rustling trees immediately install a sense of relaxation and privacy. Our guests enjoy exclusive use of the Manor House during their stay and can relax in complete privacy. The reception rooms of the Manor House offer a great natural flow suiting multi generation family groups which may have different activity needs at different times.
The nearly 300 year old period entrance to Lisdonagh Manor leads to a curved hallway which features an original early Georgian mural depicting the four virtues of valour, chastity, beauty and justice (currently undergoing restoration). The ground floor has an elegant and spacious drawing room with open fire, separate Georgian dining room, small study or reading room and fully equipped kitchen. Dining can be self catered or provided by your hosts on request. A sweeping original oak staircase leads to the first floor and 5 en-suite bedrooms with lake or garden views. There are an additional 4 en-suite bedrooms on the lower ground floor as well as the inviting Rafferty’s Room which is an atmospheric stone clad snug with mini bar style facilities. Lisdonagh Manor has a long history of connections with famous Irish literary figures and each bedroom has been named after famous Irish writers and artists.

The Carolan Room
Centrally located over the main entrance to Lisdonagh Manor, the sumptuous Carolan room features three sash windows offering spectacular views of Lisdonagh Estate. Double Bed with marble en-suite shower room.
The Joyce Room
Wonderful family room with views of Lake Hackett, the Joyce Room fills with morning sunshine that reflects off the rich French blue of the walls. Double Bed (4ft 6″ wide) & Single Bed (3ft wide). Hand held shower in bath.
The Maude Gonne Room
Next to the Yeats room of course – their relationship was well documented through the years! Warm ochre tones invite you to lay your head on the King size Bed. Two windows with garden & courtyard views. Ensuite shower.
The Synge Room
Mellow tones, silk lined curtains with oriental designs combine to create a restful double room with king size bed or twin if required. View of picturesque meadows and courtyard garden. Ensuite with handhled shower in bath.
The Flaherty Room
Located on the lower ground floor, the whitewashed walls transport of times past as does the antique brass double bed with mother of pearl headboard. The shuttered window affords a rear view of the courtyard garden area. En-suite shower room.
The Gregory Room
Located in what was originally the kitchens of the Manor, this spacious rooms features two single beds, marble bathroom and antique period furniture treasures. The two front facing windows are deep set with planted rockery outside. En-suite with bath.
The Sommerville Room
Also on the lower ground floor (opposite the Merriman Room) with double bed and beautiful black and white tiled bathroom. Jacuzzi bath with hand held shower, the Sommerville room has courtyard garden view.
The Merriman Room
Gorgeous room with extra large bathroom and romantic four poster bed. En-suite with shower & freestanding bath – one of the first ever bathtubs in Ireland. Double bed with front facing windows and rockery garden view.
